DMD Screen Repair / Exchange Service
Accidents happen, and unfortunately the parts required to repair the DMD T665 / T865(X) aren't readily available at local repair shops like iPhones or common Android devices.
As a result, DMD does offer a Screen Repair service or the option to exchange for a refurbished unit.
At this time, we're only offering an exchange option for a refurbished unit. The time it takes to get units repaired is unpredictable at this time and not something we will facilitate. If you'd still like to have your specific unit repaired please contact DMD Directly for coordination.
Here's how the process works:
Direct Repair: 4-6 weeks - [Discontinued]
- We will collect the device from you (shipping included in the price).
- Once we have the unit, we'll send it back to DMD / Thork Racing, where they will work with the manufacturer to perform a factory replacement of the screen.
- The manufacturer will send the unit back to DMD / Thork Racing.
- We receive the repaired unit back in the US.
- We ship the repaired unit back to you.
Refurbished Exchange: 1-2 weeks [Based on refurbished availability]
- We collect the device from you (shipping included in the price).
- We replace the unit with a factory refurbished unit. Typically these are units that have underwent the previous process described for Direct Repair, but instead of being sent back the exact unit (same serial number), you're sent another unit that's been repaired.
- We receive the factory refurbished unit and send it to you.
The timeline for a Refurbished Exchange is dependent on current stock and availability, but is often much quicker.
If you have some attachment to your specific unit, and want to retain that exact unit (same serial number) than please select Direct Repair. Otherwise we recommend opting into the Refurbished Exchange. Exchanged units will continue to carry the same two-year warranty of your original unit, from it's time of purchase.
The cost is the same regardless of the method, one is simply faster than the other.
