The redesigned cable with a “wing nut” type knob is a lot easier to tighten down to the tablet. I ordered this after breaking a pin off of the original one. I advise to carry an extra if your are away from civilization and not disconnect it from the tablet rather at the cable connector 6 inches up the cable
